Highlands part of Ridgemont four- times Equus Champion sire Dynasty reigned supreme as the curtain came down on the 2018 National Yearling Sale in Johannesburg on Thursday.
The champion son of Fort Wood produced the magnificent sale-topper at R5,2 million and topped the averages in both sessions, with 16 of his 19 lots sold for an aggregate of R20 260 000.
Track Attack (#191) a half-brother to champion Yorker, was carved in his champion Dad’s image, according to proud trainer Dean Kannemeyer, who enjoyed the distinction of guiding the star Dynasty through his distinguished racing career. Kannemeyer will also train Track Attack.
The magnificent sire of over 50 stakes winners produced 3 of the top ten lots, with his third ranked Oscar Wilde also turning heads before also being secured by Form Bloodstock at R4,5 million.
Dynasty is one 17 stallions rostered to line up at the Highlands Stallion Parade on 25 May.
