The speculation over what Muzi Yeni dropped when winning the third race on Dancing Dora at the Vaal on Tuesday has been resolved.

The Fanie Bronkhorst trained Dancing Dora won the third at 7-1, and the Sporting Post was approached by readers to ascertain what the mysterious equipment was that had fallen.

The official Stipes report advises that at approximately the 150m, Jockey Muzi Yeni accidentally struck his goggles from his cap with his crop.

SP fan Frankie Zackey kindly sent us this home made clip – if you watch closely you will see the phenomenon – which turned out to be a pair of goggles.
