Musir 3rd in Hong Kong

The Mike de Kock trained Musir finished third in a blanket finish in the Gr1 BMW Champions Mile at Sha Tin on Monday.

Xtension, formerly based in England, secured his first Hong Kong victory, upstaging Dubai Duty Free (UAE-G1) winner Presvis and defending winner Able One in the BMW Champions Mile (HK-G1).
Xtension’s jockey, Darren Beadman, and trainer John Moore swept the last three races on the card, including the big one, which extended a dominant run of six straight wins for Hong Kong-based horses since the Champions Mile was opened to foreign competition in 2005.
Moore said the victory might vault Xtension back to England to compete in the Queen Anne Stakes (Eng-G1) on June 14 at Royal Ascot.
“Maybe the likes of Canford Cliffs and Goldikova (Ire) will stretch him, but it would be good to go for the atmosphere and the occasion,” he said.
Xtension finished fifth in the Abu Dhabi Irish Two Thousand Guineas (Ire-G1) last May and made his Hong Kong debut in December for owner Steven Lo Kit Sing.

Moore also trains Able One, who finished 13th after winning the Champions Mile last year. Presvis finished sixth, cutting back from 1800m in the Dubai Duty Free to 1600m at Sha Tin.

What makes you so angry that you don’t care what you are doing to our shaky industry? How do you deal with this in your inner, quiet self?’
