Muzi Yeni rides Wave Warrior in Race 1 today (Pic- Candiese Lenferna)

Jimmy The Rich writes that trainer Paul Matchett saddles Wave Warrior in the opening event on the card. He showed very good improvement when finishing third over 1200m at the Vaal last time.

It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since.

The son of Act Of War is a progressive type and should love the extra furlong on offer. Muzi Yeni takes the ride and if not too green around the turn, he should take a power of beating.

Sekhmet can close off the meeting for the Paul Peter stable.

She has finished second in her last two starts, the latest of which was over this course and distance.

It must be noted that the horse that finished third in her last outing has come out and won since. She is likely to race on the speed and may be the one they all have to beat.

N Qaule will not be riding as he is not licenced.

The false rail is 4m on the back straight to 10,5m on the bend with a 10,5m spur at the 700m mark.

  • The Bipot starts in the first race at 13h15
  • The Place Accumulator starts in the second race at 13h50
  • The Pick 6 starts in the third race at 14h25
  • The first Jackpot starts in the fourth race at 15h00
  • The second Jackpot starts in the fifth race at 15h35
