Snaith & Fourie-The Team To Beat

Jackpot 1 starts in the fourth race at 14h45

There are eight races carded with the first race due off at 13h00 and the lucky last scheduled for 17h10.

Jimmy The Rich writes that Vida Futura from the Justin Snaith stable is the best bet on the day. He produced a promising debut effort over 1250m at Durbanville.

He was unlucky not to have won that day as he raced wide around the turn and hung in the latter stages. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since.

The son of Futura would have gained from the experience and should enjoy the extra distance on offer. With the natural improvement that is expected, he should be the one to beat.

The combination of Piet Botha and Luyolo Mxothwa team up in Race 4 on the card with Impressive Queen.

She took on much stronger in the Gr3 Kenilworth Fillies Nursery last time. The manner in which she finished off her race that day suggests that she will enjoy the rise in distance.

The daughter of Captain Of All looks to be a progressive type and can shed her maiden tag.

The summer course false rail is at it’s original position with a 4m spur at the 600m mark.

  • The Bipot starts in the first at 13h00
  • The Place Accumulator starts in the second at 13h35
  • The Pick 6 starts in the third at 14h10
  • Jackpot 1 starts in the fourth race at 14h45
  • Jackpot 2 starts in the fifth race at 15h20

The Inspiring Story Of Dr Marianne Thomson

‘I am writing this as an older, small breeder and in our language, Markus, because this is our war. If I phoned you, I’d be overwhelmed by business jargon within a minute. What makes you so angry that you don’t care what you are doing to our shaky industry? How do you deal with this in your inner, quiet self?’
