Jimmy The Rich writes that the in-form stable of Gareth van Zyl send out Gallic Chief in Race 2 and he is the best bet on the card.

He was running on too late when finishing second over 1200m on this course last time.

The son of Vercingetorix will love the extra furlongand meets the right field. He is the best weighted runner in this contest and should take a power of beating.

Lucky Dancer from the Glen Kotzen stable represents decent each way value in Race 7.

He finished 2.35 lengths behind Gavel Strike last time. He is 3.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.

He has won once and finished second once from four starts over this distance. He jumps from a good draw of three and may be the one to side with.

Thabiso Gumede will not be riding today as he is medically indisposed.
