Smith Set For A Good Monday

The Bipot starts in the first race at 12h35

The first day of the working week kicks off with an eight-race programme at Fairview on the polytrack, with the first race kicking off at 12h35.

Bobby Bean writes that the best bet on the card comes in Race 6 with Sugar Gum. This 3yo filly has hardly put a foot wrong in her career thus far.

From her six starts, she was won twice and finished second three times.

If continuing that impressive run of form with Luyolo Mxothwa retaining the ride, she should be too good for the opposition in this contest.

The value bet of the day comes in Race 4 in the shape of Hidden Influence.

This 5yo gelding kept finding to win his last start on this course.

He goes over the extra 100m today and with Stallone Naidoo retaining the ride from a good inside draw, he should be right there when they hit the line.

The Inspiring Story Of Dr Marianne Thomson

‘I am writing this as an older, small breeder and in our language, Markus, because this is our war. If I phoned you, I’d be overwhelmed by business jargon within a minute. What makes you so angry that you don’t care what you are doing to our shaky industry? How do you deal with this in your inner, quiet self?’
