Monday – And We Are Racing!

First race is off at 12h45

Monday is no longer a raceday on the local calendar, but the new week starts off with an eight-race programme on the Fairview polytrack this afternoon.

Don’t forget about the free to play Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge with the first due off at 12h45.

Trainer Kelly Mitchley saddles Pembroke in Race 1 and he should give punters a good start to the day.

He showed good improvement in his last start over 1200m on this course. He was unlucky not to have won that day as he clipped heels in the latter stages.

It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. He steps up to the 1400m and from pole position, he should find himself in the winner’s enclosure.

Vihzoe’s Magic from the Lunga Gila stable takes her place in Race 4.

She was slow into stride over 1200m on the turf last time but ran on well to finish third. She has won three times, finished second twice and third once from twelve starts on this course.

The blinkers have been re-fitted and with a bit of luck from the widest draw, she can return to winning ways. Calvin Habib takes the reins.

Please note that Craig Zackey, Wayne Agrella & Stallone Naidoo are not riding today. Jabu Jacobs will not ride in the fourth race only.
