Mogotsi Appointed To NHA Board

He is a practising Attorney in Johannesburg

The NHA confirms that due to the resignation of Adv A R Bhana SC, a vacancy for an independent person in terms of clause 15.1.2 of the NHA’s Constitution became available on the National Board.

In terms of Chapter 4 of the Constitution of The National Horseracing Authority the Nominations Committee, consisting of Adv Altus Joubert, Mr Larry Nestadt, Mr Rodney Trotter and Mr Jonathan Witts-Hewinson, has appointed Mr Motswasele Mogotsi to the National Board of Directors of the NHA to fill the vacancy.

Mr Mogotsi is a practising attorney in Johannesburg with over 20 years of professional experience in litigation, tax law, commercial law, law of contracts, family law, labour law, criminal law, administrative law, administration of estates and law of delict.

Mr Mogotsi previously served at the Public Defenders Office of the Department of Justice, the Office of the State Attorney (Johannesburg), and the South African Revenue Services.

He was appointed Chairperson of the Tax Board (Gauteng) in December 2018, which position he still holds.
