Trainer Mike Miller sends out Ancient World in Race 5. His last two starts over 1200m have been fair.

He has finished second once and third twice from as many starts over this distance. The son of Vercingetorix returns to handicap company and he should be cherry-ripe.

The Miller yard’s Sporting Post-sponsored stable jockey Tristan Godden steps back into the saddle and he may be the one to cause the upset.

Paved With Gold from the Dean Kannemeyer stable takes his place in Race 2.

He made the expected natural improvement when second over this distance at Hollywoodbets Greyville last time.

He should have finished closer to the winner that day as he raced green and hung inwards in the closing stages.

It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The son of Pathfork is a progressive type and can go one better.
