De Kock will probably be laughing at the report

Mike De Kock – gets a dig from Indian Charlie

Multiple SA champion trainer Mike De Kock may not have won any races on his recent pioneering Mubtaahij expedition to the USA, but he appears to have captured the imagination of the local racing media.

‘We don’t know what ‘jungles’ he has been racing at, but Mike De Kock couldn’t win a fixed race in America,’ suggests the latest Indian Charlie Newsletter.

The rather tongue-in-cheek reporting by Indian Charlie appears to enjoy varying levels of support from the local racing industry, with the journalist apparently even having come to blows with a trainer last year.

James Goodman recently quoted from the Indian Charlie newsletter on the Winning Ways show, saying it was a good read.

‘We never let the truth get in the way of a good story,’ is Indian Charlie’s slogan.
