I heartily endorse your comments, writes Mike in the Sporting Post Mailbag.

As a passionate racegoer and owner of over 50 years I have one pet gripe.

To encourage old and new punters back to the game, you need to make it easier for them to win.

All unraced horses in any exotic should qualify as well as the next raced horse.

I wrote to Vee Moodley years ago, and he sadly disagreed.

One of your readers mentioned Windjammer, which I owned with my partner.

Won a jackpot race first time out against winners. That caused a national outcry.

Those were the days!

I can’t wait for the game to resume.
