Mia Looks Best In Opener

First off at 12h25

Eight races are carded at Hollywoodbets Greyville on the turf track this afternoon.

Don’t forget about the free to play Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge and the first is due off at 12h25.

Mia’s Athena from the Duncan Howells stable takes her place in Race 1.

She produced a promising debut effort over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. She showed good speed and stayed on to finish second.

It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The daughter of Lancaster Bomber found betting support that day which suggests that she was showing good work at home.

She would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, she should give the males a run for their money.

Hollywoodbets-sponsored trainer Alyson Wright saddles Intrepid in Race 5.

He received a bump leaving the starting stalls last time, but the manner in which he finished off his race was encouraging. He finished 1.4 lengths behind Patronage in his penultimate outing.

He is 3kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. The 1400m should suit him well and from his handy draw of four, he may find himself in the winner’s enclosure.
