An Instant Big Race Runner Up For Grabs!

MGAS Bloodstock Horses-In-Training Online Sale

MGAS Bloodstock will be conducting an online horses-in-training sale this week.

The compact catalogue includes a potential candidate for the forthcoming R900 000 CTS De Grendel Ready To Run Stakes.

The well-endowed race, for which entries close on Monday 18 October, will be contested over 1400m at Kenilworth on Saturday 30 October.

The big-race candidate on the 21 lot sale is the Justin Snaith-trained Querari gelding, Full House (# 4), a winner at his last start over 1400m, and also placed three times from just six outings.

Full House is at 17th position on the most recent log for the CTS De Grendel Ready To Run Stakes. Sixteen horses can run and stakes are paid all the way down down to eighth finisher.

There is plenty of variety in the catalogue and another interesting lot that catches the eye is Corne Spies’ very recent fifth placer on debut , War Banner (# 9). The son of William Longsword ran behind the highly regarded Moya Wa Laliga at the Vaal on 12 October.

Gabriel Soma’s MGAS Bloodstock have a healthy hard stats record of producing the winners, since their initial auction was held in those lazy, hazy pre-covid days of December 2019.

Their first four auctions produced an impressive 29 individual winners, including the talented African Adventure, who was purchased as a one-time winner and has gone on to add a further five victories to his cv, including a Listed and Gr3 trophy.

This week’s sale will be hosted on the Accelerated Auctioneers platform. The company is a member of the South African Institute of Auctioneers
