Marshall’s Rascallion Seeks Redemption Today

First due off @ 12h20

Hollywoodbets Kenilworth is alongside Turffontein, with a nine-race programme carded for this afternoon. There are two feature races including the Gr3 Variety Club Mile and the Listed Sweet Chestnut Stakes.

Don’t forget about the free-to-play Hollywoodbets Punters’ Challenge with the first due off at 12h20.

Rascallion from the Vaughan Marshall stable takes his place in the Gr3 Variety Club Mile. He set the pace in the WSB Gr1 Cape Town Met last time but was caught late by Double Superlative.

He returns from a well-deserved 10-week break. The 6yo gelding has won once, finished second once and third twice from seven starts over this course and distance.

He jumps from a handy draw of five and may be the one to side with.

Trainer Justin Snaith sends out King Of Numbers in Race 4.

He produced a typical second run after a rest last time.

He finished 1.35 lengths behind Etoilefillante in his penultimate start. He is 3kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.

The son of Royal Mo should love the rise to the mile. He is having his peak run today and with luck in running, he should run a big race.

Race: 3 – #9 Wazzup had a 217 day break – recovering from lameness.

Race: 3 – #12 To The Hilt had a 122 day break – recovering from a virus.

Race: 8 – #4 Dean Street had a 126 day break – given a rest.
