Mark’s Dragon To Challenge Strongly

First due off @ 12h30

Today’s local racemeeting takes place at the Vaal Racecourse.

The first on the eight-race programme is due off at 12h30 with the lucky last scheduled for 16h40.

Trainer Tony Peter sends out Rulership in Race 7. He showed good speed over this distance at Turffontein last time but was outrun late.

It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. He won his only attempt over this course and distance.

The son of William Longsword is the class horse in this contest, and he can notch up his seventh-career victory.

Trainer Mark Khan will send out Lancaster Bomber’s son, Douglas Green in Race 5 (Pic – Candiese Lenferna)

Douglas Dragon from the Mark Khan stable takes his place in Race 5.

He challenged strongly when second over 1800m at Turffontein last time but found one too good in the form of Main Mission.

The son of Lancaster Bomber is in a good space and from pole position, he can go one better.
