Mare By Model Man And Dynasty On Friday Sale

First lot through ring at 11h00

Volmoed Stud has a broodmare in foal, and a well-bred yearling to go through the ring at the CRS Cape Winter Mixed Sale on Friday, 16 June.

The sale will be held at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth Racecourse and starts at 11h00.

Inel Bekker of Volmoed is confident that both the mare and the weanling will reward buyers and she commented: “The mare is Lot 91 Kiribati (https://www.caperacingsales.co.za/lot/2023-MWS-97/), by Model Man, a correct, beautifully bred bold black type mare. There aren’t many Model Man mares left at stud. Kiribati is in foal to The United States who has progeny with group performances on track. The foal from this match could be something special.

“Our weanling is Lot 155 (https://www.caperacingsales.co.za/lot/2023-MWS-155/) by One World out of Free As A Bird, who has already produced a six-time winner in Sullenberger. This filly is a well-grown later foal. She is by an exciting new stallion on the block and has good scope. She has two siblings, bred on similar lines, both winners.”

Lot 101 – the Dynasty filly Love Rules

From Snaith Racing, Jono Snaith reported on their offering Love Rules, a one-time winning filly by Dynasty out of Eros’s Girl, by Captain Al, from the potent Ebony Flyer family.

He said: “She is beautifully put together, a filly with lots of substance and stands over ground. Physically she is a beast, and she is being sold for stud purposes only.”
