Make A Fortune At The Vaal Today

First is off at 12h10

A nine-race programme is scheduled on the Vaal Classic course this afternoon.

The first is due off at 12h10 with the lucky last set for 16h45.

War Empress from the Ashley Fortune stable takes her place in Race 4. She followed up her promising debut effort with an encouraging run over this distance at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth.

The daughter of Vercingetorix was reported to be coughing in both efforts. She would have strengthened up during her time off the track and if not in need of the run, she should give the males a run for their money.

Julius Mariba replaces Aldo Domeyer.

A big day ahead? While Aldo Domeyer (holding trophy) is not riding today, Ryan Munger (Lil Miss Moneybags) and Ash and Andrew Fortune, are looking at a big one (Pic – JC Photos)

Trainer Ashley Fortune also saddles Lil Miss Moneybags in Race 8.

She has been a tad disappointing in her last two starts but is better than the efforts suggest. Her effort when winning over 1160m at Turffontein three runs ago, catches the eye. She carries a handy galloping mass of 55kgs and if putting her best foot forward, she can return to winning ways.

Please note that Aldo Domeyer, Keagan de Melo and Diego De Gouveia are not riding today.
