Turffontein first due off @ 12h15

Racing on the Day Of Reconciliation public holiday today is on the Turffontein Standside course and ten races are carded.

The first is due off at 12h15 with the lucky last set for 17h35.

Main Defender takes his place in Race 8 (Pic – Candiese Lenferna)

Trainer Tony Peter sends out Main Defender in Race 8 which has scratched down to just 5 runners. The 4yo  is the possible Pick 6 banker and is better than his last start in the Betway Gr1 Summer Cup.

He was touched off in the Betway Gr3 Victory Moon Stakes in his penultimate run.

The son of Pathfork won his only attempt over this course and distance.

Gavin Lerena steps back into the saddle and in this field, he should take a power of beating.

Drivelikeamaster from the Dianne Stenger takes his place in Race 9. He ran on powerfully when winning on debut over 1200m on the Inside course.

It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked.

The son of Master Of My Fate takes on stronger, but he could be anything and can remain unbeaten.
