Great Results For Tas Sale

The median price jumped even further, up 80 percent to $18,000

Thursday’s annual Magic Millions Tasmanian Yearling Sale, an arrangement between Magic Millions, Tasracing and Tasbreeders, produced outstanding results for vendors.

Magic Millions LogoWith the aggregate rising 51 percent, the sale average rose 34 percent over last year’s record figure to reach $23,250 off an 83 percent clearance rate.

The median price jumped even further, up 80 percent to $18,000.

CEO of Tasracing, Dr Eliot Forbes, said, “It’s a real shot in the arm for our industry. We’re delighted with the very strong [buying bench] from interstate and overseas. The outstanding performances of recent sale graduates has put a spotlight on the Tasmanian breeding industry and driven the level of interest in this year’s sale.”

Magic Millions managing director Vin Cox was delighted with the results, noting that the results provided the Tasmanian breeding industry with a strong platform  and confidence  to go forward
