25000 Expected For Magic Millions Raceday

Continued growth year-on-year

Off the back of creative marketing and the addition of some exciting new pop-up and lead-up races, the Gold Coast Turf Club is expecting a crowd for Saturday’s A$10 million Magic Millions race day that could reach 25,000.

According to AAP, GCTC chief executive officer Stephen Lines indicated that pre raceday corporate sales and pre-paid tickets already suggest a figure of 22,000 attendees.

The Star Gold Coast Magic Millions Raceday is home to the world renowned A$10.25 million Raceday, including the A$2 million The Star Gold Coast Magic Millions 2YO Classic and the A$2 million Gold Coast Magic Millions 3YO Guineas exclusively for Magic Millions graduates.

Featuring nine fast-paced races at the picturesque Gold Coast Turf Club, the Magic Millions Racing Women’s A$500,000 Bonus and Fashions on the Field, this Raceday has cemented its reputation on the international racing scene as the must attend event for racing’s elite, punters, and fashionistas alike.

The platform has been well and truly set by Brisbane’s revamped summer carnival which drew aggregate crowds of more than 40,000 – a large increase on comparable previous years which is likely to also be reflected when final turnover figures are released.

Lines enthused, “The buzz is good and a crowd of 25,000 is not beyond our expectations. The Brisbane part of the summer has created a lot of interest in the Millions meeting. We have both tried to get the message out that top class racing can be a fun day.”
