Madame Dubois wins 3 Troikas

Madame Dubois set for an international career

She will be on the same plane as Met winner Smart Call and Cape Guineas hero, Noah From Goa.

The Count Dubois filly won three of seven starts in South Africa, including the Gr 3 HSH Princess Charlene Of Monaco Starling Stakes over 1400m and the Gr 3 Three Troikas Stakes over 1450m.

She beat the Gr 2 Wilgerbosdrift Gauteng Fillies Guineas winner and runner up, Heaps Of Fun and Negoroamara, in the latter event.

Madame Dubois was bred by Messrs McNabb and Miliotis and is by the Zafonic stallion Count Dubois, whose 14th graded winner she is.

She is out of the three-time winning Jet Master mare, Miss Jet Set, who won her races from 1400m to a mile.

She was originally purchased for R220 000 on the National Yearling Sale and changed hands some time after the Starling Stakes for an undisclosed sum.

Originally owned solely by Colin Bird, her final start in South Africa in the Three Troikas was for a partnership consisting of Bird, Team Valor International, Valor Ladies LLC and Vanashree and Anant Singh.
