Lulu’s Boy In The Lucky Last

First race off @ 12h35

Eight races are carded at the Vaal this afternoon. The first is due off at 12h35 and the lucky last is set for 16h25.

Reminder to submit your free-to-play Hollywoodbets Punter’s Challenge before 12h30.

Hawkbill from the Lucky Houdalakis stable can give punters a good start to the day. He rallied late when second over 1200m on this course, three weeks ago.

The son of Elusive Fort is a progressive type and will love the step up to 1400m. Craig Zackey retains the ride and he should go one better.

Trainer Kobus Roux saddles Lulu’s Boy in Race 8. He is better than his last start over this distance on the Hollywoodbets Greyville polytrack.

He was not disgraced when fifth behind Dave The King in his penultimate start. He has won once and finished second once from four starts over this course and distance.

It is encouraging that S’manga Khumalo steps back into the saddle and in this type of field, he can return to winning ways.

Please note that Hennie Greyling & J P v’d Merwe are not riding today.

Keagan de Melo will stand down in the eighth race only.
