Louis On A Shifting Path For Botha

First due off @ 12h00

Hollywoodbets Durbanville runs alongside Turffontein this afternoon.

Nine races have been carded with the first due off at 12h00.

A reminder to take the free-to-play Hollywoodbets Punters’ Challenge on both the local racemeetings.

Mai Sensation from the Lucinda Woodruff takes her place in Race 2. She produced an eye-catching debut effort over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth.

She was unlucky that day as she lost two lengths leaving the start and was unbalanced at the 300m mark. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked.

The daughter of Rafeef would have strengthened up and if not in need of this outing, she should take a power of beating.

Jockey Louis Mxothwa waves to the crowd

Trainer Piet Botha sends out Shifting Path in Race 5. He was not disgraced when fourth in Class 4 Company last time.

The way he stayed on at the finish that day was encouraging.

The son of Pathfork drops back to Class 5 and with Luyolo Mxothwa back in the saddle, he may be the one to side with.

The Inspiring Story Of Dr Marianne Thomson

‘I am writing this as an older, small breeder and in our language, Markus, because this is our war. If I phoned you, I’d be overwhelmed by business jargon within a minute. What makes you so angry that you don’t care what you are doing to our shaky industry? How do you deal with this in your inner, quiet self?’
