Alec Laird could have a good today and Aristotle takes his place in Race 7.

He is better than his last start in the Gr1 TAB SA Classic as he was reported to be not striding out.

He finished third in his penultimate run in the Grade 2 TAB Gauteng Guineas.

The son of Rafeef is having his peak run today and from his good draw of three, he should be the one to beat.

Laird also sends out Star Coin in Race 8. He stumbled leaving the start over 1800m last time and stayed on at the finish.

He finished 1.75 lengths behind Apache Son that day. He is 2kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish.

He has won once and finished second once from as many starts over this course and distance. The son of Gold Standard would not be a shock winner.

Louis Nhlapo is not riding today.
