Local Racing Is Back Today!

Hollywoodbets Greyville - first off at 12h40

After we missed out on the Turffontein Sunday meeting due to inclement weather up North, the new week starts off today with an eight-race programme on the polytrack at Hollywoodbets Greyville.

Don’t forget about the free to play Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge and if you finish in the top 20 on the leader board, you can win your share of R10 000. There is also a bonus jackpot of R1 225 000 up for grabs!

The first is due off at 12h40.

Trainer Andre Nel saddles Dontstopmenow in Race 3.

He ran a creditable race when third in his last start over 1600m on the turf. It must be noted that Aerial Display has come out and won again since.

The son of Gimmethegreenlight is progressive and should have no issues with the rise to 1800m. If suited to the polytrack, he should find himself in the winner’s enclosure.

Hatta from the Michael Roberts yard takes her place in Race 5. She finished 0.85 lengths behind Birdwatcher last time. She is 5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.

She is likely to use her early gate speed to overcome her awkward draw without using up too much energy. The 5yo mare can notch up her third career victory.
