Linebacker Looks The Right Play Today

First race off @ 12h00

Hollywoodbets Kenilworth plays host to a nine-race programme this afternoon.

Don’t forget about the free-to-play Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge and the first race is due off at 12h00.

The R200 000 World Sports Betting Winter Mile tops a nine-race programme and multiple Grade 1 winner Linebacker gets the chance to resume winning ways.

The son of Captain of All has not won a race for 767 days but in this class and from a good barrier position, he could be worth following.

Trainer Piet Steyn saddles Gem King in and he could be the exacta play with the Marshall runner and represents decent each-way value.

He finished 1.55 lengths behind King Regent last time. He is 2.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.

He has won twice and finished third once from five starts over this course and distance. If getting away to a clean start, he can notch up his seventh career victory.

Spring Palace from the Justin Snaith stable takes his place in Race 3.

He finished 0.75 lengths behind My Golly Molly last time. He is 3kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.

The son of Potala Palace will have no issues with the drop to 1200m and he should be the one to beat.

  • The Bipot starts in the second race at 12h30
  • The Place Accumulator starts in the third race at 13h05
  • The Pick 6 starts in the fourth race at 13h40
  • The first Jackpot starts in the fifth race at 14h15
  • The second Jackpot starts in the sixth race at 14h50
