Lihaba Can Add A Dash Of Value To Vaal

First due off @ 12h30

This afternoon’s 9-race local programme is hosted at the Vaal Racecourse.

The first is due off at 12h30 with the lucky last set for 17h05.

Kobeli Lihaba Candiese

Apprentice Jockey Kobeli Lihaba teams up with Trainer Fabian Habib today (Pic – Candiese Lenferna)

Trainer Fabian Habib saddles Absolute Value in Race 6.

He has consistent form lines to his credit.

He raced from a handy position over this trip at Turffontein last time but found one too good in the form of Breeze Over.

He has won twice, finished second three times and third twice from as many starts over this distance.

He gets the services of 4kgs claiming apprentice Kobeli Lihaba which will help his chances.

Bonika from the Roy Magner stable takes her place in Race 4. She ran on from last when third over 1400m at Turffontein last time.

It is encouraging that Gavin Lerena has kept faith in the ride. If suited to the straight 1600m, she is capable of returning to winning ways.

Jockey Chase Maujean will not be riding today.
