Greenflashsunset, a half-brother to 2014 South African Horse of the Year Legislate, is set to make his debut in the third race, a 1200 metre 3yo maiden at Durbanville today.

By the Gr1-winning Australian bred stallion Gimmethegreenlight (More Than Ready-Yes She Can Cancan, by Canny Lad), Greenflashsunset is out of the Restructure mare Champers and was a R700 000 purchase at the 2015 TBA Emperors Palace National Yearling Sale.

Trained by Justin Snaith, Legislate (Dynasty-Champers, by Restructure) won 7 of his 19 starts – including four Gr1 victories in the Gr1 Durban July, Gr1 Gold Challenge, Gr1 Daily News 2000 & Gr1 Cape Derby – for over R4.7 million in prize money.

He stands at Drakenstein Stud.
