It’s been a while since Birch Bros’ Vogel Vlei Stud led the vendor list at auction.

Established in 1910, the stud can lay claim to more than 40 Breeders Championships, and a record 34 Grand Slam victories (Durban July, Met, Summer Cup, Queen’s Plate), with eight July winners including a famous dead-heat between Sea Cottage and Jollify in 1967 (both bred by Birch Bros).

The stud’s famous names include Sea Cottage, Wolf Power, Colorado King, Bold Tropic , Evening Mist, Royal Chalice.

Things may well be back on track!
