KZN Trainer Championship: D-Day!

Local first due off @ 12h40

Local horseracing fans will enjoy an exciting 2023/2024 KZN season finale at Hollywoodbets Greyville today as the KZN Trainer Championship goes down to the wire.

It will be a close battle between two Hollywoodbets-sponsored trainers, with Gareth van Zyl leading the Championship by 1 win over Alyson Wright.

Don’t forget to take the free-to-play Hollywoodbets Punter’s Challenge on this racemeeting with the first on the day’s eight-race programme due off at 12h40.

Terminal Velocity from the Gareth van Zyl stable takes her place in Race 2. She produced an encouraging debut effort over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville.

She was green in running, but the way she finished off her race that day caught the eye. The daughter of Global View would have gained from the experience and should love the extra furlong on offer.

With the natural improvement that is expected, she should be the one to beat.

Trainer Robbie Hill sends out Ideal Gift in Race 4. She stayed on when 3.55 lengths behind the winner over 1950m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time.

She won a good race over 1700m on this course in her penultimate run.

The daughter of Ideal World has cracked a good draw of three and she can notch up her fifth-career victory.
