KZN Stakes Distribution Fine-Tuned

Stepped up as benchmark increases

The Gold Circle Racing Committee have decided to re-allocate the method presently applied when distributing stakes to Owners in KZN.

As from 1 October 2019, the minimum stake allocated to any race will not be less than R90 000 – except for Qualified Maiden Plates.

Stakes will increase on a stepped-up basis as the benchmark ratings increase.

The committee felt this to be a more equitable method of helping all owners to recoup some of the costs involved in the training of their racehorses.
