It seems like it is all systems go for Gold Circle to lead the pack and go live with the sectional timing of races with effect from this Sunday’s Scottsville meeting.
We approached Gold Circle Racing Executive Raf Sheik for a comment after noticing the introduction of apparent sectional timing tests during last night’s Greyville night meeting.
“After months of on-going testing on course, we are now ‘ironing’ out minor technical issues and hope to go ‘live’ at Scottsville on Sunday, 4 September,” said Raf Sheik.
At one stage it appeared that the facility would also be introduced at the Gauteng tracks. But there has been no communication to the racing public and our enquiries to Phumelela and the Racing Association have drawn a blank.
