Delpech is KZN Racing Personality of the year

In a gala evening at Hollywoodbets Greyville on Wednesday night, Captain’s Ransom and Jet Dark were jointly awarded KZN Horses Of The Season, the judges unable to split the two.

Captain’s Ransom, Equus Horse of the Year and Equus Sprint Champion, won the Gr1 SA Fillies Sprint and the Gr1 Mercury Sprint during Champions Season.

Jet Dark carried top weight to a courageous second in the Hollywoodbets Durban July and rounded off his campaign with back-to-back victories in the Gr1 Hong Kong Jockey Club World Pool Champions Cup, reversing the WSB Cape Met result in a memorable duel with Kommetdieding.

The Roy Eckstein award for KZN Racing Personality of the Year went to Anthony Delpech while the Anita Akal Special Award went to Hollywoodbets Owen and Lesley Heffer.
