Henk Steenkamp reports from Gqeberha that Strydom had a bad fall at Fairview in September last year where he picked up a few injuries, including a broken wrist.

He was at last Friday’s Fairview meeting where he explained that he is aiming to return to action in about four weeks.

“The wrist is coming along the right way. I am able to get some movement in my hand and I am four weeks away from riding again,”he confirmed.

Strydom was the South African Champion apprentice jockey for the season 2020/2021.
