Kotzen Brings The Iron To Fairview

The first is due off at 12h45

Eight races are carded on the turf track at Fairview Racecourse this afternoon. The first is due off at 12h45.

The main event of the day is the Non-Black Type Betway Insurebet Friendly City Stakes over 1800m.

Luyolo Mxothwa (Pic – Candiese Lenferna)

The combination of Sharon Kotzen and Luyolo Mxothwa could have a good day at the office, starting in Race 1 with Swiss Walt.

He showed good speed over this course and distance last time but was caught late by Pisces. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. He meets the right field and should find himself in the winner’s enclosure.

Irontail is having his first run for the Sharon Kotzen stable and he may be the one to close off the meeting. He raced wide around the turn over 1300m on the polytrack last time but stayed on at the business end.

He has dropped to a competitive rating and from his good draw of three, he can notch up his fourth career victory.
