The news of Kolisi’s return to the Hollywoodbets Sharks were confirmed by his team on Monday morning, after Racing 92 released a statement on Sunday.

Kolisi, 33, who generally plays as a loose forward joined Racing after last year’s Rugby World Cup in a contract set to run until 2026.

Hollywoodbets brand communications manager Devin Heffer said they are thrilled to welcome the Springboks skipper back to their team.

“Building on our recent triumph in the EPCR Challenge Cup, John Plumtree’s coaching team is maximizing the winning culture within the squad.

“The addition of Siya to our line-up is incredibly exciting, and we are confident that our fans are eager to see him back in action at Hollywoodbets Kings Park,” Heffer said.

Meanwhile, supporters have also shared their excitement about the news on Twitter.

Veggienald said: “Great news to start a week off with. Thank you to everyone who played a role. Siya Kolisi welcome back home Ndoda.”

Owakhe said: “As he should be!! Yaaaaaaaaaaay.”

Moipone also welcomed Siya Kolisi.

Kolisi made history when he became the first black captain of the South African rugby national team in 2018.

He was handed the role for the Test series against England. He also became the first black man to lead the team to the World Cup glory.
