Sean Tarry and his staunch owner Chris van Niekerk dominated the inaugural running of the R225 000 Klawervlei Sale Stakes when the famous red and blue silks filled the exacta at a sunny Durbanville on Saturday.
The race, restricted to graduates of the 2018 Klawervlei Farm Sale, saw only nine maidens line up at the 1250m marker with the late scratching of the Snaith charge Don’t Be Blue at the start.

Immeasurable led Path Of Choice with Aldo Domeyer and Rock The Globe relaxed a few lengths off them early.
Into the home run Path Of Choice flattered briefly but it was Rock The Globe who produced the right finish and the son of Seventh Rock ran on strongly up the outside to beat his stablemate Immeasurable by 2,50 lengths in a time of 76.76 secs.
Path Of Choice was a further three quarter length back in third.

The winner, who is owned in partnership by Chris van Niekerk and Mark Sham, banked R140 625 to takes his stakes earnings to R157225 with 1 win and 1 place from his 2 starts.
He is out of the five-time winning Al Mufti mare Pacific Lights and was signed for by Green Street Bloodstock at the farm sale for R25 000.
Monique Mansour saddled the top two and they are now headed back to the Sean Tarry home base with the Cape summer season now well and truly over.
