A Captain Al yearling half-brother to Equus champion and 2017 Cape Fillies Guineas winner Just Sensual topped the 2018 Klawervlei Farm Sale on Friday when knocked down to top owner Mario Ferreira’s Racing Manager Des Gonsalves for R1 million.

The Klawervlei bred colt is out of the Camden Park Equus champion Consensual, who peaked in the 2008 Gr1 Golden Slipper in her illustrious career, where she won five races.
She is out of the prolific Jaffee family winner producing Isadora Duncan (Dancing Champ).
Buyers from across the country made their way to Klawervlei, who sold 76 lots grossing R 6,9 million at an average of R90 803.
A total of 121 lots went through the ring and grossed R9 306 000 at an average of R76 909.
In 2017, a daughter of Trippi set a new record price for this sale, when Varsfontein bought her for R1.5 million.
