Eight races are carded at the Vaal this afternoon.

The first is due off at 12h40 and the lucky last is set for 16h45.

Trainer Lucky Houdalakis – could have a good day (Pic – Candiese Lenferna)

Trainer Lucky Houdalakis sends out Kinshin Sha in Race 2 and he is the best bet on the programme.

He should have won his last start as he hung in the final 400m.

The son of What A Winter is a progressive type and Craig Zackey may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most.

Godfather from the Robyn Klaasen stable takes his place in Race 6. He took on stronger company in his last start over 1800m on the Turffontein Inside course.

His first two efforts out of the maidens were decent. Gavin Lerena has a good strike-rate for trainer Robyn Klaasen.

The son of Coup De Grace takes a drop in class and in this line-up, he may be the one to side with.

Jockey Jarryd Penny is not riding today.
