Kenilworth plays host to an eight-race programme today.

With a win percentage of 17.8% and the highest place percentage in South Africa of 47.5%, Aldo Domeyer looks set to have a good day.

He has a full book of rides and should be competitive in every race.

The meeting is scheduled to start at 13h30.

Jimmy The Rich writes that Ottoman Empire from the Eric Sands stable is the best bet on the card. He was a tad disappointing in his last start over this course and distance.

The son of Gimmethegreenlight was ultra-impressive when winning his first two career starts.

He takes a drop in class this afternoon and tries the blinkers for the first time, which should keep his mind on the task at hand.

Trainer Candice Bass-Robinson sends out Sh Boom in Race 7. He ran a good race when finishing third in the Racing Association Stakes in Port Elizabeth last time.

He set the early pace that day and stayed on well at the finish. Apprentice Joshwin Solomons was aboard the son of Coup De Grace when winning his maiden, four runs ago.

He carries just 50.5kgs this afternoon and can get back to winning ways.

Sh Boom will race in blinkers today.

The new course false rail is 2m out from the 1800m mark, with a 5m spur at the 600m mark.

  • The Bipot starts in the first at 13h30
  • The Place Accumulator starts in the second at 14h05
  • The Pick 6 starts in the third at 14h40
  • Jackpot 1 starts in the fourth race at 15h20
  • Jackpot 2 starts in the fifth race at 15h55
