Savea Can Go In Again Today

The first race is off at 12h25

A competitive card kicks off at Kenilworth this afternoon with a host of competitive Maiden Plates and Handicaps for racing pundits to follow.

The first race is off at 12h25 and the lucky last is at 16h45.

Bobby Bean writes that the Dean Kannemeyer stable send out one runner for the day in the form of Black Duke who competes in Race 3.

He made vast improvement over this trip at Durbanville in his last outing. He started slowly from a wide draw on that occasion and was running on strongly in the closing stages.

The son of Duke Of Marmalade jumps from a slightly better barrier position this afternoon and it is encouraging that Greg Cheyne has kept faith in the ride.

The Paddy Kruyer camp hold a strong hand in Race 7 with speedster Savea.

This four-time course and distance winner showed heart in his latest victory when he fought with Elusive Trader and his natural gate speed could assist him in making it back-to-back triumphs this afternoon.

The son of Var is lightning quick out of the starting stalls and he may be difficult to peg back in the final furlong.

He has his third run after a rest, looks fairly handicapped and represents decent each-way value.

The Inspiring Story Of Dr Marianne Thomson

‘I am writing this as an older, small breeder and in our language, Markus, because this is our war. If I phoned you, I’d be overwhelmed by business jargon within a minute. What makes you so angry that you don’t care what you are doing to our shaky industry? How do you deal with this in your inner, quiet self?’
