Some confusion has arisen following enquiries over which track will be utilised for the Kenilworth racemeeting today.
The official horseracing programme supplied by the National Racing Bureau indicates that the summer course will be used.
However the official racecard shows that racing will continue on the winter course, with its shorter run-in.
Kenilworth track manager Dean Diedericks confirmed that the winter course would definitely be used, with a 4m false rail.
“For years now, the Cape Fillies Guineas meeting is traditionally our switchover point and we have prepped for that eventuality on Saturday. The timing works best in terms of our maintenance programme, although we did deviate on one occasion a few years ago.”
Diedericks was unable to explain the programme information error and said that it would be impossible to switch courses in any event at such late notice.
