Kenilworth Today – Decision Awaited

Wet, wet, wet!

Today’s Kenilworth racemeeting hangs in the balance after Cape Town received more rain on Friday than it usually does in the entire month of October on average.

Apparently over 130mm of rain was recorded in a 24 hour period. There was widespread flooding all over the city.

While there are currently partly cloudy skies over Kenilworth, gallops and an inspection will be held this morning early.

There are not many options open to the organisers with another cold front forecast for Sunday.

The false rail is currently at the original position with a 2m spur at the 470m.
