MJ Byleveld - Movember Week 2

Avontuur’s MJ Byleveld – some nice rides today

Racing is at Kenilworth today with a host of racing on offer, including the Listed Sophomore Sprint which is contested by up and coming sprinters.

The first race is off at 12h30 and the last race is at 16h40.

Bobby Bean writes that the Andre Nel stable send out Aqua Bolt who competes in Race 6.

This son of Gimmethegreenlight has produced two smart efforts since his gelding in February.

He cruised in to win over this c&d in his penultimate start with Aldo Domeyer in the saddle.

He was only outrun in the latter stages over six furlongs last time out and the drop to the minimum trip should suit him perfectly. The support he has found in his last two starts suggests that he is showing good work back at home and he should be there in the run down to the wire.

The Vaughan Marshall stable have strong claims with Speed Of Night who runs in Race 8.

This son of Judpot showed his customary pace in KZN when making his handicap debut and fought hard with Kingston Rock to only be beaten by a long head at the wire.

He reunites with stable jockey MJ Byleveld and the pair can make amends for that narrow defeat. Interestingly, that was only his first run as a gelding and will come on nicely with that run under the belt.

He rises in class but the blinkers remain fitted and he should be up to the task at hand.

The Inspiring Story Of Dr Marianne Thomson

‘I am writing this as an older, small breeder and in our language, Markus, because this is our war. If I phoned you, I’d be overwhelmed by business jargon within a minute. What makes you so angry that you don’t care what you are doing to our shaky industry? How do you deal with this in your inner, quiet self?’
