Real Gone Kid – R5 Million Pick 6 Banker?

Always nice to start off with a banker!

An exciting ten-race programme is set for Kenilworth Racecourse this afternoon.

There are four feature races on the card including the Gr1 L’Ormarins Queen’s Plate, Gr1 Cartier Paddock Stakes, Gr2 Glorious Goodwood Premier Trophy and the Gr3 Okapi Chairman’s Cup.

There is a Pick 6 carryover of R1 million being injected into the pool and the total is expected to grow to R5 million. The Pick 6 starts in the fourth at 14h25.

The first is due off at 12h35.

Real Gone Kid from the Brett Crawford stable takes his place in Race 4 and he is the possible Pick 6 banker.

He is a winner of his last three starts. He showed good speed over 1100m last time and lasted just long enough to get the better of quality sprinter Rio Querari. He is unbeaten from two starts over this course and distance. The son of Snitzel is a classy sort and should notch up his sixth career victory.

Adam Marcus saddles All About Al in Race 8 and he represents decent each way value. He finished 2.25 lengths behind T’challa last time.

He is 3kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.

He won his only attempt over this course and distance. The son of Captain Al always gives of his best and from his mid-field draw, he can return to winning ways.

  • The Bipot starts in the second at 13h10
  • The Place Accumulator starts in the third at 13h45
  • The Pick 6 starts in the fourth at 14h25
  • Jackpot 1 starts in the fifth at 15h00
  • Jackpot 2 starts in the seventh at 16h10
