The Pick 6 starts in the third at 14h20

The first day of the L’Ormarins Queen’s Plate Festival has eight races scheduled.

The meeting includes the Gr2 Cartier Sceptre Stakes over 1200m and the Listed Ardmore Jamaica Handicap over 2000m.

The first race is due off at 13h10.

Jimmy The Rich writes Celtic Sea will take her place in the Gr2 Cartier Sceptre Stakes which is Race 7 on the card.

She ran on powerfully to win the Gr2 Southern Cross Stakes last time. She has won five times and finished second twice from as many starts over this distance.

The daughter of Captain Al won this race last year and should retain her title.

Black Knap is currently trading at around 6/1 with Hollywoodbets and he takes his place in Race 5 which is the What A Winter Progress Plate over 1800m.

His last two starts have been fair. He has won once and finished third once from three starts over this track and trip.

He jumps from a good barrier position this afternoon and on best form shown, he can get back to winning ways.

The summer course false rail is set at it’s original position, with a 3m spur at the 600m mark.

  • The Place Accumulator starts in the second at 13h45
  • The Pick 6 starts in the third at 14h20
  • Jackpot 1 starts in the fourth race at 14h55
  • Jackpot 2 starts in the fifth race at 15h35
