RA Plea For Dress Code Compliance

Patrons who do not comply will not be granted access

dress codeThe Western Cape Racing Association have advised that during the past season their staff have experienced continuous difficulty with Patrons who have not adhered to their limited Dress Code and the request for the visible display of Members/Guest and Day Member Badges.

This has led to numerous complaints from Members and whilst the Board of the RA wishes to promote on course attendance at all times, they will be implementing strict access control to their RA venues with respect to Members and Guests who are not properly attired.

The Dress Code is “Smart Casual” and by definition they are specifically excluding –

Short pants (including ¾ pants)

Tank tops

T-shirts (shirts without collars)

Running shoes or sneakers

Slip slops or sandals (Sandals apply to gentleman only)

Patrons who do not comply will not be granted access to these venues.

Additionally, Members and their Guests are requested to visibly display their RA Badges and Guest Badges at all times.

Should Members wish to sign in additional Guests this can be done at the kiosk at the entrance to the Paddock Room, subject to availability.

They have expressed the sentiment that they look forward to seeing you at the races.
