Kenilworth Today

First of eight races is off at 13h00

Eric Sands’ Gold Ducat, a half-brother to Met stars Rainbow Bridge and Hawwaam, has his Cape Derby prep at Kenilworth this afternoon.

Golden Ducat missed his originally intended prep due to the meeting being lost last Wednesday to a lack of support. He is in the deep end here as a one-time winner in a Pinnacle Plate.

The first of eight races commences at 13h00 and is the first leg of the Bipot. This is the last local meeting before Sun Met day on 1 February.

The going is listed as ‘good’ while the fails rail is set at 3m out from the 1800m mark, with a 4,5m spur at the 600m mark.
