Rain Falls Over Kenilworth

First of eight races is off at 13h05

Overnight rain will have taken the sting out of the going for today’s eight-race meeting at Kenilworth.

The official pen and track report have not been published yet but will be updated here when available.

Vaughan Marshall – Binoche could make it three on the trot

The first race at 13h05, a juvenile 900m scurry, is also the Bipot opener, and the positive trainer comments suggest it could be very competitive.

Dennis Drier saddles the Avontuur-bred first-timer Pray For Rain (1-1) and Dennis Drier could open and close the programme – his impressive course and distance debut winner Croisette (9-10) currently the shortest priced favourite of the afternoon.

The Sporting Post’s best bet of the day comes up in the seventh race where the unbeaten Vaughan Marshall-trained Veringetorix filly Binoche goes for her third straight victory and steps up to an MR 97 Handicap. She is currently quoted at 5-1 with Hollywoodbets.

Both her wins have been over the course-and-distance and she will again be ridden by Ossie Noach.

The false rail is in the original position with a 4m spur at the 600m mark
